Elite Footytotz™ centre opens in Tameside

The Footy4Kidz™ Soccer School, seen as the natural progression for boys and girls nearing the end of their time at FootyTotz™, was proving to be a huge draw to parents and children alike in the Tameside area.

With up to 5 coaches on hand to provide all the fun and learning necessary in each of 2 weekly Saturday morning soccer school sessions well over 50 children were attending on a regular basis.

Amongst the boys and girls it quickly became noticeable that there was some real potential. Not only were the Year 1 and Reception kids attending but also an increasing number of younger nursery children had shown amazing talent during Footytotz™ sessions and were keen to try their hand with the older ones too.

Footytotz™/Footy4kidz™ co-owner Charles Orr, in his capacity as a professional scout for a North west Premier league football club, was quick to suggest that Rick Cartner, the Tameside franchisee, to establish an “elite Footytotz™” session.
The idea behind the “elite” group is to provide more challenging training to these talented children whilst maintaining an educational and fun element to the session as per the Footytotz™ programme.

The elite sessions have now been running since November 2010 and the standard and ability of the children selected has undoubtedly increased. Indeed 4 boys have been invited to attend professional North west development centres and there will surely be many more to follow.
