About Footytotz™

Footytotz™ delivers structured, early-years play programmes for children aged two to five years old. Designed to develop children’s motor skills of balance, co-ordination and agility, the Footytotz™ programme is proven to be a fantastic way of developing a child’s self confidence and independence.

Due to our programme’s close alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our franchisees are now delivering the programme to public sessions, private day nurseries, state nurseries, and primary schools and in turn feedback also tells us, providing the benefit of PPA time (preparation, planning and assessment) in line with the Workload Agreement for many.

And what’s more Footytotz™ is lots of fun.

The Footytotz™ sessions are unique and are specially designed to be based around educational stories linked to the early years curriculum. Each session involves setting up an obstacle course that represents the topic of the day. This will include a warm up game, a main game and a penalty shoot-out, with each part of the session being linked to that topic. The session will end with a cool down and questions and answers about the story the children have taken part in. Finally, the children receive a ‘well done’ sticker for their efforts. This is then recorded in their personal achievement booklet.

Although ‘Footy’ is within the name of the company, the Footytotz™ programme offers much more than an introduction to football and goal keeping skills. Other benefits listed below will help young children to develop essential life skills, such as:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Language, literacy and communication
  • Mathematical development
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the world
  • Physical development
  • Creative development
  • Ability to identify and use different parts of both feet
  • Eye/ball Co ordination, balance and agility
